Join professional wildlife photographer Kathleen Reeder for an incredible 8 day photo safari centered in what’s coined as the “The Golden Triangle” for Alaska wildlife photography – the coastlines of Afognak Island, Katmai National Park and Lake Clark National Park. We’ll scout and photograph coastal brown bears, eagles, puffins, sea otters, sea lions, whales and more. And sport fish for halibut along the way!

9 photo sessions selected from species that are all native to Minnesota: Cougar, bobcat, lynx, black wolf, grey wolf, coyote, black bear, red fox, silver fox, cross fox, gray fox, beaver, whitetail deer, weasel, fisher, badger, mink, striped skunk, opossum, woodchuck, raccoon and porcupine. Photograph wildlife at eye level in lush water and land backdrops. An instructional online webinar in advance of the workshop that covers wildlife photography composition tips, camera settings and recommended equipment. Guidance and assistance throughout the workshop. Maximum of 12 participants.

Photograph wild North American black bears in their natural environment. DNR estimates there are 12,000-15,000 black bears in Minnesota. We can anticipate seeing up to 60 different bears on a given day during the workshop. Online instructional webinar in advance of the workshop to prepare. Hands-on assistance in photographing adult, juvenile and baby black bears on the ground and in trees. Maximum of 7 participants.
